Forget the Hair of Dog and Reach for Milk Thistle.

There’s no question that we overdo at the holidays. Be it overspending, overeating, or over-imbibing, the festive spirit can be infectious and intoxicating…literally.  
 
Why it matters
If you find you’ve had one too many eggnogs, forgo the aspirin and instead load up on water and milk thistle. Milk thistle contains an active ingredient known as silymarin, which has been shown to protect your liver from toxic elements, including alcohol. Plus, milk thistle helps support healthy digestion in general.

How to do it
Try 100–200 mg of milk thistle once or twice a day. Make sure the product is standardized to 80 percent silymarin.
