by Health News

Benefits of WalkingThe short, dark days of winter can limit your access to sunlight. Not only can this lack of sunlight lead to depression, fatigue, and brain fog, but it also severely reduces your vitamin D intake.

When you are exposed to sunlight, your body manufactures vitamin D. This versatile nutrient has been associated with everything from heart health and strong bones to brain function and immune health.

How to do it

Today, spend 15 minutes in the sun, exposing your face and arms as much as possible. If you simply cannot get outside or have a lack of sun in your area, be sure to supplement with at least 400 IU of vitamin D3.
